Poll Results

The gas initiative did not generate as much interest among the residents of Girard Road as I hoped. I only got 4 responses:

1 strong supporter
1 possible supporter who would like to get more info
1 not interested due to recent upgrade of their existing system
1 household opposing the initiative due to safety concerns

With these results we may not be able to get a good deal from the gas company for putting the gas line through the street. However, I will continue exploring the options. If anybody is still interested please do not hesitate to contact me in the nearest future.

It has been a pleasure to meet all the people I met in the neighborhood. Thank you all for your welcoming and friendly attitude!

List of Interested Households

On Monday, 3/31/14, I will be sending out the letters to all residents of Girard Rd introducing my family and asking the home owners to respond with their consent to be added to the list of households which are interested in converting their homes to natural gas.

Dear neighbors, please let me know by phone or e-mail provided in the letter, if you are interested or if you have any questions. You can also reply by posting a comment on this blog.

We need to put together the list of interested households by April 15th - that's when I will be sending it to the National Grid requesting their quote.

Thank you!

Dear Residents of Girard Road!

Welcome to the Girard Gas Initiative blog - a local community project aiming to bring natural gas to our street. This blog will be used to post news and resources related to our joint effort in making natural gas available for all Girard Road residents.

More to come soon!

Thank you,

Your new neighbors Sergei and Natasha.
